The role of Tour Accountant will play a critical role in managing financial operations related to touring and festival activities within Untitled Group. As directed by The Head of Tour Accounting you will track and manage tour accounts to ensure efficient and accurate payments, reconciliations, reporting, accountability and record-keeping. Success in this role relies on working across budgeting, forecasting and reconciling tours to effectively manage financial resources and optimise financial performance throughout a tour.

EFFORT AREAS: HOW I SPEND MY ENERGY AND TIME DAY TO DAY

  • Managing all financial aspects of touring activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. 
  • Monitoring expenses and revenues to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Overseeing financial transactions such as invoicing, payments, and reimbursements. 
  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of financial documents and records.
  • Maintaining cash flow and overseeing petty cash funds for daily expenses during tours.
  • Implementing effective cash handling procedures and reconciling cash transactions regularly.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders to negotiate contracts, track expenses, and process payments. 
  • Ensuring timely payment of invoices and resolving any billing discrepancies.
  • Preparing financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Identifying financial risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conducting periodic audits to assess the effectiveness of financial procedures and controls.
  • Collaborating with tour managers and operations teams to support logistical planning and execution of tours. 
  • Providing financial guidance and support to ensure smooth operations on the road.

Responsibilities

IMPACT AREAS: HOW I CONTRIBUTE TO ACHIEVING UNTITLED’S VISION

  • Accounting
    • Creating and preparing budgets for tours and events.
    • Forecasting revenue and expenses for upcoming tours and events.
    • Reconciling tour revenue and expenses on a regular basis, including post-event reconciliation.
    • Reviewing and approving tour and event related expenses, ensuring costs are within budget.
    • Reviewing and analysing artist and venue contracts for commercial terms.
    • Assisting in Month-End close by ensuring financials for tours and events are accurately reflected in our accounting system.
    • Preparing tour and event related financial reports for management and internal stakeholders.
    • Cancellation and equipment insurance on tours and events.
    • Liaising with site/operation managers, venues, suppliers,external stakeholders regarding budgets.
    • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions related to tours and events.
    • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and laws.
    • Ad hoc support as required by the Head of Tour Accounting.
  • Business Development
    • Contributing ideas and assisting with developing new initiatives across Untitled Group and associated companies.
    • Providing analysis and critical appraisal of new business proposals and projects.
    • Keeping up to date with relevant industry developments and trends.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
  • Operations
    • Managing internal systems and databases to ensure the efficient tracking and storage of financial and accounting documents.
    • Contributing ideas and have input into improving Untitled Group processes.
    • Contributing to smooth running of office operations as required.
    • Supporting colleagues by sharing information, knowledge and skills.
