The role of Programming Manager is responsible for securing and maximising bookings for Untitled Group’s portfolio of tours and events. In this role, you will assist with booking artists for Untitled Group’s major festivals, external festivals, venues and events. To be successful in this role, you book credible, diverse line-ups, with the aim to maximise profit for Untitled Group through ticket sales.

As Programming Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping Untitled Group’s event and venue portfolio: securing, curating and delivering standout programming across festivals, tours and venues.

You will lead programming activity across key venues and events, working closely with internal teams (marketing, partnerships, ticketing, production) and external stakeholders (artists, agents, venues) to deliver high-quality, commercially successful outcomes.

This is a role for someone who can balance creativity with execution, from booking artists and building lineups, through to advancing shows, managing ticket builds, and driving performance.

EFFORT AREAS: HOW I SPEND MY ENERGY AND TIME DAY TO DAY

  • Negotiate artist fees and deal structures in line with commercial targets
  • Confirming and advancing live events at the Plaza Hotel.
  • Programming additional stages for Untitled-owned festivals 
  • Researching artists and trends and reporting to the Programming/Touring team. 
  • Executing contracts between UG festivals and artists. 
  • Ensuring pitching materials are up to date and keeping templates and presentations up to date.
  • Ensuring that the Marketing department receives all up-to-date press kits and information
  • Ensuring that Artists Liaison teams and production teams get timely and up-to-date information
  • Assisting with Festival rollouts, including but not limited to: announcements and ongoing marketing campaigns.
  • Following up with artist teams for feedback regarding experience.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Programming & Booking
  • Lead programming across Untitled venues, festivals and events — building diverse, credible and commercially strong lineups
  • Secure and manage bookings across owned and partner venues
  • Identify emerging artists, trends and opportunities to keep programming fresh and competitive
  • Contribute to festival programming, including key stages and discovery platforms
  • Balance internal priorities with external opportunities to maximise utilisation and revenue
Artist Management & Advancing
  • Advance shows end-to-end with artists, agents and managers
  • Coordinate technical, production, marketing and hospitality requirements
  • Maintain strong, trusted relationships across the industry
Ticketing & Performance
  • Monitor sales performance and work with marketing to optimise outcomes
  • Support show settlements, ensuring accuracy and commercial integrity
Commercial & Growth
  • Drive revenue through smart programming decisions and partnerships

IMPACT AREAS: HOW I CONTRIBUTE TO ACHIEVING UNTITLED’S VISION

  • Programming
    • Lead Programmer for Plaza Hotel: owning end-to-end programming and delivery, including promoter engagement, calendar planning, and commercial performance. Manage workflows with internal team members and maintain strong client relationships with venue management and on-site venue staff, as the main point of contact for Untitled Group.
    • Lead Programmer for BTV Discovery Stages: Curate and manage diverse, engaging content and programming across discovery stages at Beyond The Valley e.g. JD House Party, Schmall Klub, Red Bull Unforseen, Beach Club, and local artist/promoter-led stages
    • Curate, plan and execute the scheduling and logistics for changeover DJs at festivals to maintain seamless transitions between sets
    • Lead booker for Brand Partnership briefs, including special events, activations and experiences. 
    • Balance external bookings with internal programming priorities to maximise venue utilisation and revenue.
    • Maintain a rolling 3-6 month programming pipeline across venues and festivals, aligned to strategy and commercial targets.
    • Manage festival submission processes and track performance metrics to inform future programming decisions.
    • Own artist discovery and data-informed programming insights
    • Assist in creating Artist decks to pitch to Artist teams 
    • Identify new programming opportunities for the business
  • Venue Advancing, Ticketing & Show Settlements
    • Advance booked shows at Untitled programmed venues with artists, agents and tour managers, ensuring all event requirements are confirmed and delivered to a high standard.
    • Coordinate technical, production, hospitality and marketing requirements in collaboration with internal teams and venue partners.
    • Build and manage venue ticketing builds including event holds, pricing structures, allocations and on-sale timelines in alignment with commercial strategy. Ensure ticket builds are accurate, approved and delivered within agreed deadlines.
    • Oversee ticket sales performance in collaboration with marketing, identifying opportunities to optimise outcomes.
    • Prepare and manage show settlements, ensuring accurate reconciliation of ticket sales, costs and contractual terms.
    • Liaise with Finance to ensure the timely processing of settlements and payments.
    • Maintain clear documentation across advancing, ticketing and settlement processes to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Commercial
    • Maintaining strong relationships with artists, agents, promoters and venue partners to forge beneficial collaborations that propel success
    • Accountable for the commercial performance of the events you program, including ticket sales, attendance, and profitability
    • Identify emerging trends and commercial opportunities within the live entertainment landscape to continue to diversify Untitled Group’s lineups and artists
    • Support retention of key venue agreements through strong performance and relationship management.
    • Ensure programming pipelines are diversified and resilient.
    • Maintain accurate forecasting and visibility of future income streams.
    • Support evaluation and submission of tenders for major event opportunities and partnerships.
